Alle Artikel in dieser Broschüre sind aus Fairtrade-zertifizierter
Bio-Baumwolle hergestellt.
Das Fairtrade-Produkt-Siegel FAIRTRADE COTTON steht für fair angebaute
und gehandelte RohCotton, die über alle Produktionsschritte direkt
rückverfolgbar ist und getrennt von Nicht-Fairtrade-Cotton weiterverarbeitet wird.
Fairtrade fördert bessere Arbeits- und Lebensbedingungen für Baumwollproduzen-
ten sowie den Umweltschutz. Artikel aus Fairtrade-zertifizierter Cotton sind entspre-
chend mit dem Produkt-Siegel FAIRTRADE COTTON gekennzeichnet, von Fairtrade lizensiert und freigegeben.
Vor Ort erhalten Baumwollbauern Unterstützung in Form von Schulungsangeboten – etwa für eine effizientere
Bewirtschaftung oder zur Stärkung der Organisationsstruktur. Als Sicherheit bei stark schwankenden Welt-
marktpreisen gibt es den Fairtrade-Mindestpreis. Dieser greift, bevor Baumwollpreise unter eine kritische
Grenze fallen. Für jede Tonne RohCotton, die Baumwollbauern zu Fairtrade-Bedingungen verkaufen, erhalten
sie zudem die Fairtrade-Prämie, einen finanziellen Aufschlag für Gemeinschaftsprojekte.

The FAIRTRADE COTTON product label represents cotton that has been grown and traded fairly. It is fully
traceable through all stages of production and processed separately from non-Fairtrade cotton. Fairtrade
supports improved working and living conditions for cotton producers, as well as environmental protection.
Products made from Fairtrade-certified cotton carry the FAIRTRADE COTTON label, which is licensed and
approved by Fairtrade. On the ground, cotton farmers receive support through training programs—such as
those aimed at improving farming efficiency or strengthening organizational structures. To protect against
volatile global market prices, Fairtrade sets a Minimum Price that takes effect if cotton prices fall below a
critical threshold. Additionally, for every ton of raw cotton sold under Fairtrade conditions, farmers receive
the Fairtrade Premium—an extra financial bonus to be invested in community projects.

Le label Fairtrade FAIRTRADE COTTON garantit un coton brut issu d‘une culture et d‘un commerce équita-
bles, directement traçable à toutes les étapes de la production et transformé séparément du coton non Fair-
trade. Fairtrade promeut de meilleures conditions de travail et de vie pour les producteurs de coton ainsi que
la protection de l‘environnement. Les articles en coton certifié Fairtrade sont identifiés par le label FAIRTRADE
COTTON, sous licence Fairtrade et approuvés par Fairtrade. Sur place, les producteurs de coton bénéficient
d‘un soutien sous forme de formations, par exemple pour une gestion plus efficace ou pour renforcer la struc-
ture organisationnelle. Le prix minimum Fairtrade offre une sécurité en cas de fortes fluctuations des prix sur
le marché mondial. Celui-ci s‘applique avant que les prix du coton ne tombent en dessous d‘un seuil critique.
Pour chaque tonne de coton brut vendue aux conditions Fairtrade, les producteurs de coton reçoivent égale-
ment la prime Fairtrade, un supplément financier destiné à des projets communautaires.
