Torches: What does lumen mean?
Lumen describes the total amount of visible light that a light source emits in all directions. It is not only a measure of the intensity
of the light, but also of its perception by the human eye.
Lumen range Application area
< 50 Lumen Small light for close range, e.g. key ring torches.
50–200 Lumen Suitable for everyday use, e.g. for walks or home use.
200–500 Lumen Outdoor activities such as hiking, camping or working in dark environments.
500–1000 Lumen Powerful models, suitable for search operations or longer outdoor tours.
Charging cable: What is the
meaning of wattage?
The specification ‘up to 60 watts’ on a charging cable descri-
bes the maximum power that the cable can transmit. A cable
with a maximum transmission power of 60 watts is suitable for
devices that require a medium to high power supply, such as
laptops, tablets and some smartphones with a fast charging
function.
A 60 watt cable usually works with modern fast charging stan-
dards such as Power Delivery (PD). It adapts to the required
energy of the connected device.
