DS3 Biotic
The casing and mechanism of the DS3 Biotic Pen are made of biobased plant-based
plastics (PLA). They use renewable non-fossil raw materials such as corn starch
or sugarcane.
The raw material is biodegradable according to EN 13432. In terms of the overall
balance including refill and spring, this means a compostability factor of 75%.
To achieve the typical sand effect, FSC wood powder is added to the bioplastic
in the ”Sand” version.
