At Clipper A/S, it is all about making an effort - not just with our knitwear, but also in the way
we work internally as well as externally in our organisation. We find it natural to combine good
tradesmanship with these high standards and have a sense of responsibility is one of our most
important core values.
We love slow fashion and natural raw materials – that is true sustainability! Eternal classics in
a quality that offers a longer product life span and are therefore not replaced as often. With this
philosophy, we hope to promote a more ethical and sustainable way of consuming.
Global Compact
In 2012 we joined the UN Global Compact which is a principlebased framework for businesses,
stating ten principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption.
We work strategically on complying with the UN’s Global Compact; 10 basic principles, which
for example work to improve the conditions for people and the environmental conditions.
Oeko-Tex 100
The majority of our raw materials are certified in accordance with the Oeko-Tex 100 standard.
This ensures that consumers are not subjected to health hazardous influences from the knitwear.
It is important to us, that our suppliers focus on reducing the use of chemicals, water and dyestuff.
We of course expect all of our suppliers to comply with the REACH regulations and the
STANDARD 100 by OEKOTEX® for raw materials.
Mulesing Free
Animal welfare is important to us. Since many of our products are manufactured from wool, one of
our main focus points is the welfare of the sheep, that supply the wool. That’s why we use
mulesing free yarns only.
We are proud to make an effort - in the hope of a better tomorrow.
